The first thing I do when a new version of Wordpress comes out is sit down for a few hours and go through all the coding and edit whatever I need to. I take out what I don’t need, add what I do, and replace some stuff I hate. I change everything from the first comment you get after install to that stupid Browse Happy logo at the footer of the dashboard. I save my copy I have then made to use for all my sites and for client sites that I am installing. So this morning 2.6 came available and I went to work at tearing through it. This seems to be a big year for Wordpress so far but I really can’t see all that much difference in 2.6 than 2.5.1. Here are a few screen shots of my copy that I make. I change a lot more than you see here but I got tired of taking screens.

I love the customization that add. I am doing this as well, making sure I document the changes I have made to the core so I know what to change for future upgrades.

Very nice job to say the least!
